Minneapolis, MN – TURCK announces the R10 (rod style) version of the EZ-track® line of programmable, non-contact linear displacement transducers (LDT's). with an environmental rating of IP 67, a continuous pressure rating 5000 psi, and a shock rating of 2000 G, the R10 series was designed to monitor the position of hydraulic cylinders and is ideal in heavy duty applications such as those found in lumber mills, steel mills and stamping plants. The R10 transducer uses magnetostrictive technology to monitor the position of a magnet along the active stroke of the rod without causing any wear on the sensor parts. The EZ-track R10 sensors are 13.5 to 30 VDC units, with a variety of analog outputs including voltage, current and differential, which can be programmed over the active stroke length of the sensor. The differential output also allows the LDT to measure the distance between two magnets, making it ideal for injection molding applications where precise distance between die separation needs to be determined. Utilizing the 16-bit resolution (0.001"), the R10 LDT can achieve repeatability to 0.001% of full stroke. The standard R10 housing material is anodized aluminum; however, it is also available in Stainless Steel for use in food processing or caustic applications. The sensing rod is always stainless steel and is available in stroke lengths from 2 to 180 inches. The R10 LDT also comes with a standard 5-pin M12 eurofast® quick disconnect, which offers the customer higher performance, lower cost, and a faster more reliable installation.
