Plymouth, Minnesota: Zero-Max has expanded its line of Servo Class couplings to include a new smaller 16 mm diameter size with operating torques of 4.43 in-lb. in both single SD and double disc SC models. Called the SD005 or SC005, this coupling is designed for use in miniature servo applications. Designed to handle the drive and resolution characteristics of servomotors such as AC, DC, or Stepper and AC synchronous.Servo Class couplings feature zero-backlash, flexible metal stainless discs and keyless clamp-style mounting hubs. They offer high torsional stiffness with low inertia to avoid system resonance. The single disc SD005 design provides a smaller package with greater torsional and axial stiffness than the double disc SC005 design that will allow for small amounts of parallel misalignment. Both require no maintenance and are quick and easy to install. This smaller size Servo Class Coupling, along with the full range of sixteen other models, is designed to meet the precision positioning requirements and high reverse-load characteristics of todays applications. The coupling provides lower inertia and weight with a compact package design.Additional features include clamp-style mounting hubs, available with inch or metric keyless bores, which make them the ideal mounting solution for a broad range of precision servomotors.Performance specifications for these couplings are:SD005/ SC005Operating Torque Inch-lbs 4.43/ 4.43Maximum RPM 10,000/ 10,000Torsional Stiffness In.lb./deg 43.3/ 30.5Parallel Misalignment Inch - / 0.002Angular Misalignment Degree 0.5/ 0.5Axial Misalignment +/- Inch 0.002/ 0.004Weight Oz 0.245/ 0.35Moment of Inertia In.lb2 0.0009/ 0.0013Min Bore Inch 0.157/ 0.157Max Bore Inch 0.236/ 0.236Want more information?
