Omron Donates Close To $1 Million Dollars Towards Asian Tsunami Relief

KYOTO, JAPAN (January 7, 2005)--Omron Corporation (TSE: 6645; US:OMRNY), a global leader in automation, sensing, and control technology, will donate one hundred million yen (close to $1 million US dollars) through the Japan Community for UNICEF for victims of the Asian tsunami following the earthquake off Indonesia. Additional pledges from local Omron offices and affiliated companies will also be donated through the Japan Community for UNICEF.Twenty-first century companies not only realize public responsibility through business activities but also through compliance with applicable laws, through ethical activities, and by protecting the environment, among many other activities.
