ABB Names Aaron Aleithe Global Vice President of Business Development for Medium Voltage Drives

Norwalk Connecticut, July 7, 2005 -- Aaron Aleithe, a senior manager in the drives industry, has joined the market-leading ABB MV Drives business as the global vice president of Business Development. Aleithe is responsible for leading the growth of the business in the chemical, oil and gas segment. He is based in New Berlin, Wisconsin and has a global and special North American market focus.Detlef Steck, global vice president of the Medium Voltage Drives business stated, "Aaron is a great addition to our global team and provides strong leadership to our fast growing chemical, oil, and gas industry businesses." Greg Scheu, senior vice president of the North America Automation Products business added, "His experience in the industry and knowledge of the market fits nicely with ABB's aggressive North America growth strategy." Aleithe reports jointly to Detlef Steck and Greg Scheu.Aleithe has over 20 years of experience in the drives industry. He has been employed by ASIRobicon since 1997, and most recently was their vice president and director of Strategic Marketing. Prior to this position, Aaron worked for MagneTek Drives & Systems.Aleithe will work closely with the global and local teams in the Medium Voltage Drives business.
