RNA Automated Systems Inc., Burlington, ON. has moved into a new head office and manufacturing facility located in Ancaster, ON. as part of a program of expansion into North American markets. The company designs and manufactures custom designed automated feeding and conveying equipment for automated assembly systems. The North American arm of Rhein-Nadel Automation GmbH, Aachen, Germany, RNA Automated Systems has been in operation for five years under the direction of Rick de Jong, General Manager. “We have been working to build our manufacturing facilities together with a skilled work force and that effort has culminated in our new plant and head offices,” said Mr. de Jong in announcing the move.RNA presently combines product from RNA in Germany with local custom tooling, parts, machining and assembly. Plans are afoot to increase staff by 50% this year. The company works with automation systems integrators to provide the feeding, conveying, and storage equipment for small component automated assembly lines. This often results in the company supplying equipment on an international basis as systems are designed and manufactured to global standards incorporating CE, CSA, and UL certified products. RNA also works directly with product manufacturing facilities on existing automated systems or new installations. Markets include automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals, consumer/packaging and medical products. For more information visit www.rna-can.com.
