TÜV Rheinland Recognizes Art Pietrzyk of Rockwell Automation as a Functional Safety Expert

26-year employee holds added distinction of being the world's only TÜV-certified expert for both machine and process safetyMILWAUKEE, June 23, 2005 —The certification of Rockwell Automation safety expert Art Pietrzyk as one of nine TÜV-certified Functional Safety Experts worldwide gives Rockwell Automation customers enhanced safety capabilities, including the ability to more quickly navigate the safety certification process and reduce system development costs. Pietrzyk, a strategic marketing and business development program manager at Rockwell Automation, was recognized in a ceremony held last week at the TÜV Rheinland Safety Symposium in Cleveland, Ohio. “Rockwell Automation has maintained a steadfast commitment to build its safety expertise covering a broad range of machinery and process applications,” said Lyle Masimore, safety business manager at Rockwell Automation. “Art’s certification is a tremendous accomplishment and a great asset for our customers."The TÜV Functional Safety Program provides formal proof of competency and knowledge for professionals who have been working in the field of functional safety. Pietrzyk, a 26-year employee of Rockwell Automation, holds the added distinction of being the only expert certified for both machine and process safety.
