CLINTON, MA (December 2005) – Automated Assemblies Corporation (AAC), a leading U.S. designer and manufacturer of robots and workcell solutions for the plastics injection molding industry, has bolstered the firm’s sales presence along America’s East Coast by:
  • Naming Stephen R. Byrnes to Eastern Regional Sales Manager for sales along the East Coast of the U.S. as well as Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia in Canada. Further, he has relocated to Florida to handle the sales operations from offices there.
  • Assigning Jonathan G. Weibel to work with Byrnes in the capacity of Sales Engineer for the U.S. Northeast. He will continue to work out of the firm’s Clinton, MA, headquarters.Byrnes, who has been with AAC for nearly three years, is regarded as one of the premier technical sales, service and marketing professionals in the injection molding business. His experience spans several decades where he has been in key positions with Battenfeld, Husky and HPM Corporation. He has been extremely active in the industry for many years, including Chairman of at least one SPE ANTEC, former President of the Pioneer Valley section of the SPE, and on the Boards of the Injection Molding Division of the SPE as well as the Plastics Institute of America, Inc. He is a University of Massachusetts/Lowell graduate where he earned a B.S. degree in plastics.Weibel, who has been with Automated Assemblies for more than 9 years, will be handling sales and customer service in the New England states as well as in PA, NY and NJ. His new position was a promotion from that of Sales Support Engineer. A native of Massachusetts who now lives in Deerfield, NH, he is a graduate of both UMass Amherst and Worcester State University where he earned a business degree.Automated Assemblies designs and manufactures advanced technology workcells and application-specific robotic solutions including vision inspection, part packaging, insert molding, and IML/IMD.
