AUSTIN, TEXAS (November 21, 2005) -- Emerson Process Management has announced its new SCU multi-controller unit for use with Mobrey ULT ultrasonic level transmitters or any HART enabled field devices. This extension to the company’s range of level sensors for dry products - which are used in industries such as quarrying, aggregates, chemical, and food - enables operators to view data from, and program, up to 15 Mobrey ULTs from one central control room. As a result, companies save time and manpower previously spent checking individual tank readings at locations throughout the facility.The SCU is compatible with existing HART-compliant 2-wire or 4-wire units and has an integrated LCD panel that facilitates a wide variety of display functions, including tank content visualization made possible by echo analysis of the ULT.
