AUSTIN, Texas, January 13, 2006 ‹ The Fieldbus Foundation today announced the keynote speakers for its 2006 General Assembly, to be held at the Ritz Carlton Portman Hotel in Shanghai, China, from February 28-March 1. This year's event, themed, "Compliance, Confidence, Credibility," will include presentations by Huang BuYu, deputy chief engineer, SINOPEC Engineering Incorporated; and Seah Ooi Kiat, head instrument engineer, CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Company Limited.Mr. Huang and Mr. Seah will describe how FOUNDATION fieldbus technology allows for the implementation of modern, open and interoperable plant automation strategies, and enables improved productivity and profitability in today's global industrial marketplace.The Fieldbus Foundation's 2006 General Assembly will address the needs of the expanding FOUNDATION fieldbus market in China and Asia/Pacific, and will include case study presentations by leading end users from throughout the region.
