PHOENIX, Jan. 31, 2005 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today it has been awarded a contract with Fairlawn, Ohio-based OMNOVA Solutions Inc. to upgrade the specialty chemical and polymer producer’s process control systems. Honeywell will replace OMNOVA’s aging legacy systems at its performance chemicals facilities with Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS). OMNOVA’s Green Bay, Wis., plant is the first of five sites to undergo the upgrade. “OMNOVA chose to partner with Honeywell because of its understanding of the chemicals industry as well as its technical expertise and responsiveness.
