Mustang Provides E!CEMS Software for Real-time Environmental Data Management

HOUSTON, TEXAS – Mustang Engineering, L.P. (“Mustang”), a subsidiary of international energy services company John Wood Group PLC (“Wood Group”), announced today that Valero Energy Corporation (“Valero”) has deployed the E!CEMS environmental data management system to provide real-time environmental calculations and related reporting at its Corpus Christi facility. E!CEMS projects are now underway at four additional Valero refineries.The E!CEMS real-time environmental data management system provides a robust automated, secure and certifiable system for capturing, calculating, historizing and reporting regulatory emissions data. It allows Title V, NOx, SOx, MACT, VOC, HRVOC and Flex Air permit efforts to be managed at a facility’s operational level.The E!CEMS installation at the Valero Corpus Christi refinery was managed by Ellipsys, the advanced applications group within Mustang Automation and Control (MAC). The E!CEMS software package will enable Valero to comply with key environmental regulatory permitting requirements more efficiently by providing real-time notifications, standardization of calculations and adaptability for future regulations.In addition to Valero, E!CEMS is currently being used by a number of Fortune 500 refining and petrochemical plant operations within Texas and throughout the rest of the United States to help meet environmental regulatory compliance requirements.Mustang Engineering, a Wood Group company, is an independent services provider to the global oil, gas and chemical industries.
