Multenet releases LAN Buffer to store 50,000 call records

Cape Town, South Africa, October 3, 2006. - Multenet announced the release of the PocketPAD Buffer, a low cost LAN buffer. The PocketPAD Buffer enables data transmitted from a serial device to be stored on the PocketPAD that can later be retrieved by establishing a TCP connection to the PocketPAD Buffer over the Ethernet network.Phil Blain, the company's Sales and Marketing Director, says that the PocketPAD Buffer is currently available at our distribution centers.Based on the entry-level PocketPAD design, the PocketPAD Buffer has one RS232 serial interface and one 10/100 Ethernet interface. As a PBX data logger, the PocketPAD Buffer connects to the serial port of the PABX and into the company LAN, storing up to 50,000 call records. In Offline mode, data from the PABX, is saved to flash for later download to a management station.
