ABB Automation World 2007 attracted 2,500 attendees

Norwalk, Conn., April 16, 2007 – The ABB Automation World 2007 Users Conference and Exhibition, held in Orlando, Florida last month (March 20-22, 2007) exceeded event attendance expectations and attracted a record number of participants, totalling more than 2,500 attendees. The three-day event focused on "Collaborating for Results" and featured a wide variety of technical workshops--many hosted by customers, independent industry experts, and technology partners–that demonstrated how ABB products, systems, solutions and expertise help customers in all industries achieve measurable process and bottom line improvements. The 40,000 square foot exhibition hall featured hands-on demonstrations and displays of ABB automation products and systems that help customers improve their overall productivity, profitability, and energy efficiency. Several comprehensive technology areas, including the Wireless Pavilion, showcased the broad range of ABB's offerings and discussed the practical applications of and potential cost savings from the strategic implementation of these technologies. ABB also announced the 2008 event date and venue; ABB Automation World 2008 will return to the Hilton Americas in Houston, Texas, April 29 –May 1, 2008. After the record-breaking attendance at this year's event, the 2008 event will bring a broad cross-section of ABB customers, channel partners and employees together under the same roof.
