Fort Smith, AR, May 9, 2007 - Motion control components compatible with the real-time Ethernet Powerlink protocol are presenting significant design opportunities for machinery OEMs. Baldor published a guide to an Ethernet-compatible 3-phase AC drive family for higher power machinery applications. The 28-page catalog details the drive's architecture which includes a shared DC bus, a bus for plug-in expansion options, and software configuration for different motor types — and introduces Ethernet Powerlink. Potential application configurations are also explored, including an illustration of the drive connected in a multi-axis centralized control scenario, and one functioning as a standalone intelligent drive. The catalog is available free of charge in electronic or printed form Learn More
