Niceware enhances NiceLabel labeling software

MILWAUKEE, WI, May 2, 2007 - NiceLabel version 5 Professional Labeling Software provides a toolset that enables users to manage print jobs in a way that will overcome any printer issues that may arise to ensure maximum uptime in production. The new NicePrintQueue module is a print job management tool that enables users to move a print job from one printer to another if the primary printer is out of labels, out of ribbon or shows any other error condition. New bi-directional NiceDriver printer drivers deliver a constant stream of status information to the NicePrintQueue module to notify users of printer problems. Print jobs that are in a queue for one printer can be moved to another printer to finish the label production. This is possible even if the secondary printer is a completely different manufacturer than the primary printer.In addition, NiceLabel version 5 delivers an updated archiving and reprint log. If users need to reprint jobs printed previously, the new job log in NiceLabel version 5 provides a reprint tool that displays a print preview of the archived print job, enables full or partial batch reprinting of the job and is able to send the job reprint to a different printer.A few of the more notable features in NiceLabel version 5 include:
  • Pocket NiceLabel has been rewritten in .NET to take advantage of the .NET Compact Framework
  • All NiceLabel modules and editions are now fully Unicode compliant
  • Support for variable length label designs. Label length will adjust at print time based on the amount of data entered into a variable length text object.
