Nicholson as chief marketing officer to lead Verano's global marketing and product strategy. Nicholson joins Verano from EMC, an information management and storage company, where he was responsible for leading product marketing and product management for its grid and utility computing business unit. Nicholson brings 15 years of experience in high technology corporate marketing, product marketing and strategy, business development and sales to Verano. He has worked for both emerging and mature technology companies including Digital Equipment, EMC, IBM, and InfiniSwitch, prior to joining Verano. Martin is responsible for setting the product strategy for the Industrial Defender portfolio. Key focus areas include developing marketing and sales programs for the critical infrastructure cybersecurity market; preparing business and marketing strategy for the Industrial Defender portfolio and overseeing marketing content development for product launches. Martin brings almost 18 years experience in the high technology space; including 13 years were in the process automation industry, to Verano. He has experience in product and corporate marketing, product management and business development. Martin also has an engineering background from work with leading control systems vendors such as GE Fanuc, Honeywell, and Intellution.
