Milwaukee, WI, August 20, 2007 - Adaptive Micro Systems LLC today announces the addition of Richard Johnson to the company as president in order to fuel growth for customers as well as Adaptive. Company founder, Bill Latz, hired Johnson because of his demonstrated ability to consistently grow privately held companies ranging in size from $50M to $300M throughout his career. His proven skill set in business development, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing, product development and manufacturing, and his original background in electrical engineering made Johnson an ideal fit for Adaptive. Together, Latz and Johnson seek to leverage Adaptive's core competencies to serve customers even more effectively. "Our industry is undergoing tremendous change," notes Johnson. "With the fragmentation that exists in the marketplace, the right company has a real opportunity to really influence the market. What I found so intriguing about Adaptive is that the company has so much going for it. The pieces are here. I just want to facilitate the company's ability to execute on those things that matter most to customers." Unlike competitors, Adaptive has its own LED manufacturing facility in Malaysia to more effectively control costs, quality and the process of technological innovation. Adaptive also employs a modular philosophy to its product development and manufacturing, which facilitates market responsiveness in terms of innovative solutions that are both practical and cost-effective to implement and maintain. Now, with a new facility dedicated solely to the manufacture of its larger displays and digital billboards, Adaptive has the ability to produce digital communications solutions of all sizes on a mass scale. In addition, Adaptive's software solutions and genuine commitment to customer support and training help assure that customers are able to fully leverage the value of their digital communications investments. "Cleary, Adaptive is committed to helping its customers succeed," says Johnson. "I am looking forward to using my international P&L management experience and team-based operating style to fine tune this promising entity, better enable our people to help customers be successful and see just how much we can achieve in the marketplace."
