St. Charles, IL - December 6, 2007 - BisonCares, powered by the employees of Bison Gear & Engineering Corp of St. Charles, IL, has been awarded the 2007 Civic Image Award given by the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce. Recipients are awarded based on humanitarian efforts, and/or civic or personal projects, outside of business, which have brought outstanding positive recognition to St. Charles and assists in enhancing the image of the community.BisonCares was created as a human response to the Katrina catastrophe. It was during that tragedy that it became evident that Bison employees wanted to give of themselves to help others in need. Since its conception in 2005, BisonCares has been involved in numerous charitable foundations with local and global organizations which has helped make a difference in the lives of others such as, Toys for Tots, Illinois Food Bank, Katrina relief, Special Olympics, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Kids Golf Foundation of Illinois, and preparing gift baskets to send to troops overseas. BisonCares first fundraising event was a Memorial Golf Tournament in memory of Jeff Bullock and continues to be their largest annual fundraiser. BisonCares invites everyone to join them at the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament August 23, 2008 at MillCreek Golf Club.
