Invensys appoints Bhattacharya Software Solutions Officer

LAKE FOREST, Calif., Aug. 29, 2007 - British engineering firm Invensys plc (ISYS.L) today announced that Sudipta Bhattacharya has been appointed as the Invensys chief software solutions officer reporting to Mike Bradley Sr., president of Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys. Bhattacharya will be responsible for driving strategy and growing the Invensys and Wonderware software solutions business."I am pleased that Sudipta has chosen Invensys to realize his dream of shaping the future for real-time applications in the manufacturing space," said Ulf Henriksson, chief executive of Invensys. Previously, Bhattacharya served as senior vice president of solutions management for supply chain, manufacturing and product lifecycle applications at SAP America, Inc. He was responsible for driving and executing product strategy for three of SAP's core solutions and several strategic alliances including those with Invensys and Wonderware, also a major SAP customer. With 17 years of experience in managing and building global teams across the U.S., Europe and India, Bhattacharya is currently recognized as a top industry leader in supply chain and manufacturing.
