Larry Pereira Joins SensorLogic as Vice President of Marketing

DALLAS – October 10, 2007 – SensorLogic welcomes Larry Pereira as vice president of marketing. Pereira joins Chairman & CEO Dale Booth and the rest of the executive leadership team in directing SensorLogic’s strategic growth initiatives.“SensorLogic has a great deal of faith in Larry’s domestic and international expertise and his ability to further strengthen our product management capabilities and help ensure our product road map is closely aligned with the future needs of our customers and partners,” said Dale Booth. “In addition to his deep domain knowledge and broad set of relationships in the wireless sensors market, Larry is active in key standards bodies and has considerable knowledge and experience in the standards setting process.”In addition to heading up all marketing initiatives for SensorLogic, Pereira will remain actively involved in the development of various wireless standards for the industrial sector. This includes chairing working groups and study groups within the ISA100 initiative to develop wireless standards for wide-ranging industrial applications, participating in the development of the wireless HART standard, and serving as an officer in the Wireless Industrial Networking Alliance (WINA).“The industrial monitoring and control industry is undergoing a major shift to wirelessly enabled sensors and machine control devices,” said Pereira. “These wirelessly enabled devices will bring new levels of asset visibility and control that was previously not possible. Before serving there, he held various senior management positions in Nortel Networks Inc. and played a significant role in helping Nortel to penetrate various international markets. During the course of his extensive career, Pereira has been responsible for product management, all forms of marketing, international marketing and business development, major account sales support, international joint ventures, alliances, and partnerships. In addition to holding many senior management roles in the technology industry, Pereira also has successfully managed his own consulting company and championed channel marketing strategies focused on legacy and VoIP mobility, switching, transport, access, and enterprise networks.Pereira received his bachelors in management science from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). He received his MBA in marketing from the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and master’s degree in international business via UTD’s executive program. In addition, Pereira is Vice Chair of the marketing working group of ISA100, WINA organization officer and board member, and an officer and board member of the NTGTS organization.
