Beckhoff Automation hires five sales engineers

October 23, 2008 – Beckhoff Automation has hired five new regional sales and application engineers in the past few months of 2008, signaling more rapid expansion in the company’s business. These new employees are strategically placed to provide additional sales and engineering support to regions with fast-rising Beckhoff Automation customer bases. They will deliver direct, on-site sales and engineering support to machine builders, manufacturers and other technology-driven businesses.The new Beckhoff Automation employees: Kenneth Harbin strengthens the Beckhoff direct sales team in Texas as the new Sales Engineer serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area (in addition to Arkansas and Oklahoma). Harbin previously worked at Pro-Face America (formerly known as Xycom Automation) as an Area Manager. Jeff Johnson is a new addition to Beckhoff’s growing Application Engineering team in Wisconsin and is based in Fond du Lac. Prior to working for Beckhoff, Johnson was an Applications Team Leader for Danaher Motion / G&L Motion Control.Rich Lester is Beckhoff’s new Application Engineer for Texas. Based in Austin, Lester previously worked as a Senior Automation Specialist for Toolmen Corporation, a manufacturer of custom machinery.Niels Ouwersloot is the new Beckhoff Sales Engineer for Los Angeles and central California. Before joining Beckhoff, Ouwersloot was the West Coast OEM Account Manager for SICK, Inc.Erik Soeder is Beckhoff’s new Application Engineer based in the Cleveland area and covers Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.
