July 18, 2008 — Vasant Bennett, President and Managing Partner of Barry- Wehmiller International Resources (BWIR), announced the promotion of Jim Webb to the position of Senior Partner-Engineering Services. BWIR is a global information technology and engineering consulting services provider and a division of Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc. Its Engineering Services business unit specializes in machine design (both mechanical and controls), new product development, CAD and product data management (PDM) for the industrial machinery, hightechnology and medical equipment segments. It also serves as a global solutions partner to Boston-based SolidWorks Corp., a leading CAD and PDM engineering software company. As one of four partners in BWIR, Webb has been instrumental to the firm’s success in marketing its services to third-party customers worldwide and was responsible for securing each of its largest engineering accounts in his previous role as Partner—Strategic Relations. “Focusing Jim’s attention on our Engineering Services practice is an acknowledgement of his exceptional leadership and proven ability at creating new alliances with leading technology partners, as well as the enormous potential for growth in this area of our business,” Bennett said. Fundamental to BWIR’s continued growth over the past five years has been the ability to build long-term, strategic relationships with its customers. Recent initiatives by the firm to implement the best structure, people and processes to support its vision have included restructuring the organization into three key practice areas: Engineering Services, Enterprise Solutions, and Information & Technology Solutions. “One of our top priorities this year is to further strengthen our customer-facing organization in order to sustain the more than 40 percent compounded annual growth until 2012 and beyond,” Bennett explained. “With the continued development of our partner model, which we introduced in 2006, and the appointment of a dedicated senior leader for each of our practice areas, I’m confident that we have the essential pieces in place to successfully achieve our objectives.” About Barry-Wehmiller International Resources Barry-Wehmiller International Resources (BWIR) is a global technology provider specializing in the creation, development and integration of the industry’s most advanced information technology and engineering solutions.
