In addition, DMG will demonstrate its advanced VIO tool presetters for measurements up to 16.5 in. dia. A cast-iron tool bed, with high stability and torsion resistance, offer the maximum accuracy possible. Video edge detection combine with intelligent image processing from Microvision II or III basic with analog software enable error-free, fast transfer of all data to the instrument’s control. During the event, selected suppliers to DMG such as Sandvik and Siemens will also be available to discuss their products and services, making this event a working machine tool show. Furthermore, attendees will be able to participate in one-hour DMG workshops, to be held each day, covering such topics as high-speed cutting (HSC) for the mold & die industry, plus five-axis aerospace machining, medical machining, production machining and advanced manufacturing technologies for a variety of materials. An additional seminar will be conducted by Daniel Martinez, entitled “From blueprint to finished part in three easy steps,” relating to the new cycle simulation software now offered on many DMG machines. As the DMG America marketing manager, Daniel Wenker, explains, “This event is designed to not only offer machine shop personnel a look at our new facility and enjoy a good time, it is also serving to demonstrate the commitment we’re making to the West Coast market with new machines, new services and a much larger application engineering and support team. Even in this IMTS year, there will be much to see for all attendees, whether they work in a job shop or major OEM. And I promise the beer will be cold, too,” he noted. The event will run from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. each day, October 22-24, at DMG America, Los Angeles Technology Center, 5980 Lakeshore Drive, Cypress, CA 90630. Learn More
