Siemens IT names John E. Evers President and CEO

November 17, 2008 – Siemens IT Solutions and Services named John E. Evers Jr. President and Chief Executive Officer of its business in the U.S. and Canada, effective November 10, 2008. His position will be based in Norwalk, Connecticut. Evers, 47, will be responsible for leading the organization into the High Value Service market leveraging Siemens’ capabilities in Data Center, Application Services and Consulting, while maintaining the strong relationships that exist with its extensive base of clients. He will report to the Siemens IT Solutions, Inc. Board of Directors. Most recently, Mr. Evers was Vice President of Worldwide Outsourcing Sales at Hewlett Packard, where he was responsible for generating profitable growth in IT Infrastructure Services, Application Management and Business Process Outsourcing Services. Prior to that role, Mr. Evers was Vice President and General Manager of Hewlett Packard’s Americas Outsourcing business, serving hundreds of clients across multiple Industries in the U.S., Latin America and Canada. He was with Hewlett Packard since 2004.Prior to Hewlett Packard, Mr. Evers was Vice President for the Media and Entertainment Industry in IBM’s Global Services Business. Mr. Evers spent 19 years with the IBM Corporation, in a series of progressively responsible sales, business development and executive roles. Throughout his career, he has constructed services agreements valued at over $16 billion in total contract value and managed relationships with hundreds of clients. “John is a seasoned business executive with more than 23 years of demonstrated experience in the IT services Industry. His accomplishments make him a great choice to lead Siemens IT Solutions and Services in growth in the U.S.,” said Dr. Christoph Kollatz, Group President, Siemens IT Solutions and Services GmbH. “He has deployed successful growth strategies and has a strong track record of building outstanding client relationships and negotiating complex business transactions,” Kollatz added. Mr. Evers holds a B.S. in Marketing from the Pamplin School of Business at Virginia Tech. He resides in Richmond, Virginia.
