Apriso records 47 percent revenue growth

February 4, 2009 - Apriso announced a record 2008, delivering 47 percent annual revenue growth over 2007. Year-over-year growth was primarily driven by software revenues, up 71 percent over 2007, which positively impacted the firm’s gross margin contribution, up 60 percent compared to 2007. Professional services revenue grew by 44 percent on a year-over-year basis. From a geographic and industry vertical perspective, revenue and customer expansion was strong in the automotive, industrial & heavy equipment, aerospace & defense, life sciences and consumer goods industries across European, Americas and Asia Pacific operations. “Apriso grew significantly in 2008 during a period of economic uncertainty. In addition, two Life Sciences companies, including a US-based medical supplies manufacturer and a European-based pharmaceutical manufacturer, deployed FlexNet as part of their global MOM strategies. As evidence of continued market traction around Apriso’s recently introduced FlexNet Containment Manager, an international engine manufacturer added this application to their current suite of FlexNet modules.Demonstrating the growing customer acceptance of Apriso’s solutions, over 700 FlexNet applications were sold to new and existing customers in 2008, including new products at additional sites of the following ‘best-in-class’ manufacturers: Volvo CE, British American Tobacco, Saint Gobain, Textron Systems, L’Oreal and Amcor. New PartnershipsApriso entered into a strategic partnership on November 20, 2008, with EDS, an HP company. Together, HP and Apriso introduced an integrated manufacturing operations software solution for manufacturers to compete more effectively and improve profitability. The HP/Apriso solution is now being actively deployed at three different manufacturers. Earlier in 2008, Apriso established a partnership with Atos Origin, leveraging their automation integration expertise in support of Apriso’s manufacturing operations management solution. Product UpdatesFrom a new product perspective, 2008 saw the introduction of four new solutions tailored to specific vertical ‘niches’ in target industries best served by Apriso, including FlexNet for Consumer Goods, FlexNet for Packaging Manufacturers, FlexNet Warehouse Management for Manufacturers and FlexNet for Tobacco Manufacturers.The improved FlexNet now supports greater agility, better synchronization across operations, a lower cost of quality and improved operational performance.
