February 10, 2009 - In the US market, POWERLINK is expected to see some of the strongest growth in distribution over the forthcoming years. This finding is reported by Natick/MA-based VDC Research Group, which specializes in market research and consulting services for clients in the automation, IT and power engineering technologies. VDC Research’s current study called “Global markets for industrial wireless and wireline networking infrastructure products” is based on a recent worldwide survey of the distribution and market acceptance of wireline and wireless network systems in various key industries. The study showed that Ethernet IP, TCP/IP and Modbus TCP are the most common Ethernet-based systems on the American market today. Apart from these systems, the highest increases in market share over the next four years are expected for POWERLINK and ProfiNet.
