CoDeSys supports Texas Instruments C2000/28x CPU

February 24, 2010 - Embedded devices based on the C2000/28x CPU family from Texas Instruments can now also be programmed with the IEC 61131-3 development tool CoDeSys.The development of a CoDeSys compiler for the C2000 family is part of a cooperation between the German specialist for automation software 3S-Smart Software Solutions and Texas Instruments, which is of strategic importance for both companies. Thousands of software engineers around the world develop their industrial application software with the market-leading IEC 61131-3 programming tool CoDeSys from 3S-Smart Software Solutions. Compilers directly integrated in the programming tool translate the controller application into native machine code and ensure maximum performance on the processors used.
