The nine flagship shows that make up HANNOVER MESSE 2010 will bring together all the key industrial sectors at a single venue and cover a unique thematic spectrum.
January 28, 2010 - Hannover. There are now clear signs that the world economy is slowly regaining momentum. HANNOVER MESSE 2010 will play a major role in boosting business activity. This applies above all to the industrial automation sector. To stay ahead in the current economic climate companies depend crucially on solutions that conform to the motto "HANNOVER MESSE 2010: Efficiency - Innovation - Sustainability." More than 75 percent of the visitors want to invest A visitor survey carried out at HANNOVER MESSE 2009 revealed that over 75 percent of the attendees want to invest in new and improved technology: "We offer a marketplace for the entire spectrum of automation technology - ranging from mechanical and plant engineering to process automation and automation systems for industrial buildings," explains Wolfgang Pech, Senior Vice President at Deutsche Messe AG with special responsibility for HANNOVER MESSE. He refers explicitly to the sustained development of this flagship fair in response to the growing demands of exhibitors and visitors: "For HANNOVER MESSE 2010 we have consciously created new thematic highlights." Industrial Embedded: new showcase for hardware and software suppliers at HANNOVER MESSE One of these highlights is "Industrial Embedded." Located at the heart of the automation technology market in Hall 9, the spotlight here will be on the visualization of workflows and the growing integration of machines and sensors. The emphasis will be on complete solutions as opposed to individual products. Microcontrollers are playing an increasingly important role in this context. They react to a wide range of environmental influences and open up new perspectives for industrial manufacturers as well as software companies. Microcontrollers require very little space and open up new possibilities for the decentralized management of complex plant and machinery. Automation technology plays a key role Industrial Automation at HANNOVER MESSE is an absolute must for all those who want to invest in efficiency and sustainability. Instead of focussing solely on partial aspects (e.g. electric automation), Industrial Automation presents a complete array of products, systems and services. Demand for automation technology is increasing - given the need to minimize the time to market of new products. This has been confirmed in surveys and interviews with the visitors at HANNOVER MESSE 2009. Decision-makers are aware that - in difficult economic times in particular - it is essential to identify trends and new sources of market potential at the earliest possible stage. It is likewise vital to invest in new technology and establish new contacts. Exhibitors pin their hopes on HANNOVER MESSE 2010 "The decision to increase the size of our stand at HANNOVER MESSE 2009 proved to be correct," concludes Carsten Stumpf, Marketing Manager of Kawasaki Robotics GmbH. "For this reason we have decided to expand our presence at HANNOVER MESSE 2010." Stumpf is convinced that - in 2010 as is past years - visitors and exhibitors will benefit from the unique trade show concept. "HANNOVER MESSE 2010 will create the ideal platform. In contrast to other shows it covers the complete spectrum of industrial technology and hence attracts all the relevant target groups." Matthias Goeke, sole authorized Managing Director of the Goeke Technology Group, shares this opinion: "In the wake of HANNOVER MESSE 2009 we clinched important contracts and established new partnerships, despite the challenging economic situation. On the basis of these and other positive signals the Goeke Technology Group quickly decided to take part in HANNOVER MESSE 2010." The positive mood among the exhibitors comes as no surprise. The nine flagship shows that make up HANNOVER MESSE 2010 will bring together all the key industrial sectors at a single venue and cover a unique thematic spectrum. The exhibitors will be able to meet new potential partners for their ideas and products. Thanks to its cross-industry line-up, HANNOVER MESSE ranks as the world's number one industrial show and is a fruitful breeding ground for technological innovation.
