EPLAN Opens Regional Office in Houston

November 21, 2010 – EPLAN Software & Services announced today the opening of a new sales office located in the Houston facility of its parent company, Rittal Corporation.After the addition of the Chicago office only eight months ago, Houston was the natural choice for the next regional office location, coming in response to the overwhelming demand for EPLAN’s multi-discipline CAE software solutions that feed off a central data backbone. The Houston office will allow the company to keenly focus on supporting automation customers in Texas and neighboring states.Mr. Jan Dominik Gunkel, the president of EPLAN’s North American operations said this on the occasion of company’s recent expansion: “After Chicago in March, we are excited to launch with full throttle into the Gulf Coast market. Houston is considered the engineering capital of the world and EPLAN has just opened its doors right in the heart of the city. EPLAN Software & Services revolutionizes engineering efficiency – now in Houston helping Texan companies deliver their global engineering solutions in an ever more competitive way.”The new Houston office will be managed by Greg Gilmour who joined EPLAN Software & Services at the beginning of the month. Gilmour brings more than 20 years of experience in technology sales and as area sales executive, he will steer the Gulf Coast region towards market leadership. Previously, Gilmour served in various sales positions for software companies including IBM and a SolidWorks reseller where he led significant growth. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Texas Tech University.The opening of the new Houston office is another proof that EPLAN Software & Services is staying on track to increase its presence in major markets of the U.S. in the near- to mid-term future.
