December 8, 2010 - EPSON Robots opened an office in Brazil, South America. The new office is located in São Paulo and marks EPSON Robot’s strategic plan to expand further within South America. "We are very excited to have just opened our own office in Brazil” stated Michael Ferrara, Director of EPSON Robots. “We have been serving customers in South America and especially Brazil for many years but having a dedicated Epson Robots office in Brazil allows us to better serve the fast growing manufacturing market in South America in a manner that all customers have come to expect from EPSON Robots on a worldwide basis." "EPSON America first opened an office in Brazil in 1984 with our well renown consumer products which now include printers, projectors, scanners and much more,” stated Marcos Nora, Business Unit Manager of EPSON Brazil. “We knew that it was a natural progression for EPSON Robots to expand into the market in Brazil, especially since we see a rise of automation opportunities in South America. Our new office will allow us to do customer demos, support and training locally which we know manufacturers in Brazil will appreciate as we help them improve throughput, quality and more in their factories through using robot automation." EPSON Robots is the global leader in PC controlled precision factory automation, with an installed base of over 18,000 robots and a product line of hundreds of models of easy to use SCARA, Cartesian and 6 axis robots based on a common PC controller platform.
