SymCom acquires Solid State Advanced Controls from ABB

June 10, 2010 - SymCom acquired Solid State Advanced Controls, SSAC, a leader in low-voltage electrical and electronic products, from ABB. SSAC Management and Employees will continue to operate from the Baldwinsville, NY facility as SSAC, LLC. The acquisition includes all SSAC non-Din rail mounted timers, monitoring relays, controls, and custom products. This acquisition will expand the SymCom/SSAC, LLC business within and beyond the 35 countries currently served, making the combined company the leader in electrical/electronic control products. “SymCom plans to substantially expand its worldwide business with a solid line of electronic control and protection products,” stated SymCom President Kip Larson. “The synergies between SymCom and SSAC will bring enhanced benefits to our valued customers.
