December 12, 2011 -- Tracer XT from Trane, a brand of Ingersoll-Rand, combines Trane Tracer building automation systems and GE’s Proficy software. Tracer XT offers a platform specifically designed to integrate, manage and optimize critical facility systems. Tracer XT is based on Proficy, GE’s software platform,  to provide a powerful approach to integrating data from a variety of systems for HVAC, power, lighting, safety and more into a common interface to manage energy use and cooling requirements to optimize operational and environmental performance. The Proficy Software platform is ecomagination-qualified for improving overall process efficiency, reducing waste and defects, and reducing energy usage.
