Tridium promotes John Sublett to Chief Technology Officer

July 25, 2011 - Tridium appointed John Sublett as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As CTO, John will lead the strategic vision for the company's technology portfolio. John will drive Tridium's development strategy as well as manage the direction of the company's Niagara and Sedona Frameworks. "As a co-founder of Tridium, John has been at the core of our technology and development efforts since we released the first version of our flagship technology, the Niagara Framework," said Steve Fey, Tridium's president. "Tridium has embarked on an ambitious program of innovation, and as CTO, John's leadership and talents will ensure that these new offerings keep Tridium at the forefront of M2M technology." "I look forward to the challenges brought on by this position," said John Sublett, CTO of Tridium. Prior to John's appointment as CTO he was Tridium's Chief Architect and Director of Software Development for the Niagara Framework and related Applications where he was responsible for concept, design and implementation of many core features of all versions of the Framework. Previous to joining Tridium, John was a software engineer for Hughes Network Systems. John is a co-patent holder for several concepts related to the original Niagara Framework and recently a co-submitter for concepts related to supporting NiagaraAX on platforms without batteries. He also was recently named a Honeywell Technology Fellow, an honor given to a very selective group of highly talented technical professionals within the Honeywell organization who help realize and maintain the technology vision. John is a graduate of Computer Science and Economics from The College of William and Mary and holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from University of Virginia.
