Cooper Bussmann releases FuseFinder Mobile App

May 7, 2013 - Cooper Bussmann is simplifying the search for the right fuse and fuse block replacement with its new FuseFinder mobile application (app). Available for Apple iPhone and iPad, and Android mobile devices, the FuseFinder app features a comprehensive database of more than 130,000 fuse and fuse block cross reference part numbers. FuseFinder is designed to ensure information can be obtained quickly and easily, accessed anywhere, anytime even without a network connection.   “We’ve developed and designed our new FuseFinder mobile app to provide users with the on-demand knowledge and information needed to choose the right replacement part,” said Matt Mohr, applications engineering, Bussmann Division. “The easy to use mobile app offers valuable features to make cross referencing simple by allowing our customers to find the right parts and information they need, right at their fingertips.”   Once downloaded, the mobile app’s home screen allows users to cross reference products, utilize its distributor locator feature to search for nearby Bussmann distributors or access the valuable fuse selection guides for motor protection applications. The intuitive, interactive interface of the FuseFinder app makes it easy to perform a cross reference by simply entering a complete or partial part number that will return a list of suggested Bussmann replacements. Once a part number is selected, users can either choose to locate their nearest Bussmann distributor or view and share product data sheets that contain product specifications.   For those unsure of a fuse selection for protecting electric motors, the app also includes protection guides by motor types. This helpful tool guides users through a process to select the correct fuse for the desired application.
