March 11, 2013 - The IndraMotion MTX performance CNC, using the CML 65 controller, was certified as a product that conforms to the Ethernet standard sercos. What makes this CNC controller unique is not just the performance and scalability of the controller but the combination of speed, tight motion / IO synchronization performance and flexibility of sercos the automation bus. With both technologies blended into one system, the optimal performance can be achieved for a wide range of CNC applications. Be it traditional metal cutting, 5-axis die and mold, punching, bending, laser, water jet, plasma, assembly and automation -- sercos for I/O and electric or hydraulic motion ensures the highest productivity. The sercos automation bus enables the simple integration of many other Rexroth technologies such as electric and hydraulic servo motion, digital & analog I/O and pneumatics all tightly synchronized with the interpolation update rate on a single automation bus. Due to the standard Ethernet conformance, sercos is compatible to any Ethernet-based protocol and shares the Ethernet media in the friendliest way. Customers use Rexroth’s wide range of sercos products to build extremely productive and innovative machinery which is in high demand today and in the future.
