September 30, 2013 - Echelon announced that E-Mon released several models of its advanced sub-meter family with LonWorks communications based on the Echelon FT 5000 transceiver. The metering devices include the advanced Class 3200, 3400, 5000, Green Class Net Meter, Din-Mon and Interval Data Recorders. By choosing the LonWorks platform, E-Mon can meet their customers’ requirements for interoperability with multiple vendor products. “Echelon is pleased that E-Mon has adopted LonWorks technology in its advanced sub-metering products,” said Varun Nagaraj, senior vice president and general manager at Echelon. “E-Mon’s channels can use the new products to respond to the many building specifications that mandate LonWorks compatibility to ensure interoperability with multiple vendor products.” End customers will have the ability to manage their energy costs by integrating the E-Mon sub-meters with their LonWorks-compatible Building Automation System (BAS).
