April 3, 2014 - Rotork acquired Young Tech Co. Ltd. (YTC). YTC is a Korean-based, ISO9001 certified manufacturer of positioners and accessories mainly associated with pneumatic valve actuation. YTC products, including electro-pneumatic, pneumatic and smart positioners, solenoid valves and I to P converters, are widely recognised in worldwide flow control markets and industries. International hazardous area certifications include ATEX, IECEx, CSA and FM. The acquisition of YTC, which will become part of the Rotork Instruments Division, is in line with Rotork’s strategy of extending its offering of flow control and pressure control products. The acquisition further enhances Rotork’s position in the Asia-Pacific market, whilst increasing YTC’s presence in Europe and the Americas. Commenting on the acquisition, Rotork Chief Executive Peter France said: “YTC is an excellent addition to our Instruments Division. It is a highly respected manufacturer of instrumentation products which are complementary to Rotork’s existing portfolio of products.
