ComVac ASIA, Asia’s leading trade fair for compressed air and vacuum technology, is sold out with an expected display area increase of 15 percent and the number of exhibiting companies has increased 12 percent.
September 12, 2014 - According to the China General Machinery Industry Association, China’s air compressor sector alone generated operating revenue of US $2.9 billion in 2013 – an annual increase of 6.7 percent – and further average annual growth of almost 6 percent is projected between 2014 and 2017. ComVac ASIA, Asia’s leading trade fair for compressed air and vacuum technology, reflects this increasing demand: it is sold out with an expected display area increase of 15 percent and the number of exhibiting companies has increased 12 percent. Consequently, the event will fill an entire hall – an area the size of 33 tennis courts – and showcase 170 companies during its 27–30 October 2014 run at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. “China’s engineering industry should grow between 9 and 12 percent in 2014. ComVac is Asia’s leading platform where buyers and users can find new compressor and vacuum products and technologies and manufacturers from this branch can increase their sales in China’s industrial marketplace,” said Wolfgang Pech, senior vice president at Deutsche Messe AG. “Plus, China is one of the world’s top exporters of compressors and compressed air and vacuum technologies, so ComVac ASIA is the venue of choice for Chinese companies that want to showcase their goods to a large international audience,” added Pech. Compressors and vacuums play an important role in China in sectors ranging from manufacturing, metallurgy and mining to electronics, petrochemicals and pharmaceuticals. ComVac ASIA’s exhibit program is organized into two main segments: Compressed Air, which comprises applications, contracting, distribution, generation, management, processing (filter technology), storage, and tools; and Vacuum Technology, which covers components and equipment, drying, financing, leak detectors, measuring devices, and vacuum pumps. Exhibiting companies include such industry leaders as Bosch Rexroth, Bauer Kompressoren, Hitachi, and Ingersoll Rand. The organizers expect more than 70,000 visitors. ComVac ASIA is organized by Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., Deutsche Messe’s subsidiary in China, and takes place parallel to PTC ASIA, CeMAT ASIA, Industrial Supply ASIA, Cold Chain ASIA, and Heavy Machinery ASIA. ComVac ASIA is an offshoot of ComVac in Hannover, Germany, the world’s leading event for compressor and vacuum technology.
