October 20, 2014 - Hall 3 at HANNOVER MESSE 2015 will be devoted entirely to the topic of surface technology. In its role as a cross sectional trade fair SurfaceTechnology showcases a complete spectrum of products, systems and services. Traditionally, SurfaceTechnology has focused on electroplating, industrial paint coating, plasma coating and micromaterials machining. 2015 will see the premiere of a new group presentation staged by the IVAM, the International Association for Microtechnology, Nanotechnology, Advanced Materials and Optics & Photonics. The spotlight here will be on micromaterials and microsystems. Further key themes at SurfaceTechnology 2015 will be energy saving, resource efficiency and eco-friendly pre-treatment. “The big advantage of SurfaceTechnology is its integration into the world’s most important trade fair for industrial technology – HANNOVER MESSE,” says Marc Siemering, Senior Vice President HANNOVER MESSE at Deutsche Messe AG. “All the industrial sectors featured in Hannover – for example, wind power and compressed air & vacuum technology – rely on surface treatment products and are therefore potential customers and partners for our exhibitors. There are direct thematic synergies with the neighbouring trade fairs.” This also applies to nanotechnology, which is presented at Research & Technology in Hall 2, and to Industrial Supply in Hall 4, where industrial materials play an important role. Unlike vertical-market trade shows and conventional user-oriented fairs, SurfaceTechnology caters for a complete spectrum of materials. Regardless of which material is involved (metals, plastics, wood, glass or ceramics), users can find the right surface treatment solutions. The SurfaceTechnology line-up will once again include numerous special presentations. With its program of talks and lectures in the areas of industry and research, the SurfaceTechnology Forum will provide a platform for an exchange of knowledge and know-how, as well as for the discussion of the latest trends and developments. The special presentation “World of Surface Treatment” organized by the industry association ZVO will showcase innovations all along the process chain. A further highlight is the “Competence Center for Surface Technology”, where AB Anlagenplanung GmbH will demonstrate a fully functioning coating plant. At the joint display stand Surface-Plasma Network the spotlight will be on plasma coatings. Energy-saving will be high up on the agenda at the group presentation of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). The exhibitors comprise companies specializing in paint coatings, abrasive blasting and industrial plasma technology. A further group presentation – sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy – is targeted at start-up enterprises which require initial support in connection with trade show presentations.   The popular B2B platform SchauPlatz NANO displays market-ready products and solutions for industrial surface treatment. Close thematic links exist with the”World of NANO” in Hall 2, which centres on research-oriented applications of nanotechnology. For the first time Schauplatz NANO and the IVAM Product Market “Micro, Nano & Materials” will share the same venue. The focus here will be on innovations in microtechnology, nanotechnology, photonics and new materials, with special emphasis on industrial applications. SurfaceTechnology at HANNOVER MESSE is one of three surface technology trade shows staged by Deutsche Messe AG. The other two events are parts2clean – Leading International Trade Fair for Industrial Parts and Surface Cleaning, and O&S – International Trade Fair for Surface Treatments & Coatings. The next parts2clean will be held in Stuttgart from June 9-11, 2015. parts2clean 2016 is scheduled to take place in Stuttgart from May 31 to June 2.   HANNOVER MESSE – Get new technology first! The world’s leading trade fair for industrial technology is staged annually in Hannover, Germany. The next HANNOVER MESSE will run from 13 to 17 April 2015 and feature India as its official Partner Country. HANNOVER MESSE 2015 will comprise ten flagship fairs: Industrial Automation • Motion, Drive & Automation (MDA) • Energy • Wind • MobiliTec • Digital Factory • ComVac • Industrial Supply • Surface Technology • Research & Technology. The upcoming event will place a strong emphasis on Industrial Automation and IT, Power Transmission and Control, Energy and Environmental Technologies, Industrial Subcontracting, Production Engineering and Services and Research & Development. Deutsche Messe AG With revenue of 312 million euros (2013), Deutsche Messe AG ranks among the world’s ten largest trade fair companies and operates the world’s largest exhibition center. In 2013, Deutsche Messe planned and staged 119 trade fairs and congresses around the world – events which hosted a total of 41,000 exhibitors and some four million visitors. The company’s event portfolio includes such world-leading trade fairs as CeBIT (IT and telecommunications), HANNOVER MESSE (industrial technology), CeMAT (intralogistics), DOMOTEX (floor coverings), and LIGNA (wood processing and forestry). With over 1,000 employees and a network of 66 representatives, subsidiaries and branch offices, Deutsche Messe is present in more than 100 countries worldwide.
