Daifuku promotes Aki Nishimura to president

February 12, 2015 - Daifuku North America Holding promoted Aki Nishimura to President. Brian Stewart will continue to serve as Chairman and CEO of Daifuku North America Holding Company.

In his new role, Nishimura will focus on expanding North American sales, increasing profitability and promoting the importance of workplace safety. Nishimura is a graduate of Hiroshima Institute of Technology, located in Saeki, Hiroshima, Japan. He also holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.  He has over 25 years of experience in the material handling industry and has worked with Daifuku since 1987. He has held several instrumental positions within the organization, such as Director of Manufacturing at Daifuku America Corporation, a subsidiary of Daifuku North America Holding Company. He advanced to President in 2013 and will continue to serve as CEO at Daifuku America Corporation.

In addition, Tim Hund was promoted to President of Daifuku America Corporation from Vice President of their Automotive Factory Automation Division. He has over 30 years in the industry. Daifuku America Corporation is well known for developing systems for industries such as automotive and cleanrooms.
