MESA and ISA will provide "Manufacturing Meets IT" education track at ISA's annual Process Control and Safety Symposium scheduled for Houston, November 9-12, 2015.
April 14, 2015 - The Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA) will provide the "Manufacturing Meets IT" education track at ISA's annual Process Control and Safety Symposium which will be held in Houston, Texas, November 9-12, 2015. The event will bring together the global MESA and ISA communities to highlight the business value of solving plant and enterprise-level manufacturing challenges with IT-based solutions.
MESA will bring the complete "Manufacturing Meets IT" education track - a total of twelve individual sessions over the three-day period. The sole purpose of this education track is to share knowledge in the form of presentations, panel discussions, and case studies on how to improve business results and production operations through the application of Information Technology solutions in manufacturing.
MESA will also present a variety of unConference sessions which are highly interactive by design and emphasize real-world solutions for real-world manufacturing problems.
According to Mike Yost, President of MESA, "The MESA "Manufacturing Meets IT" education track will feature experts from different industries, and from all over the world, to share the most up-to-date, compelling, and practical information about using IT-based solutions in manufacturing enterprises."
"MESA will present thought leadership, best practices, and guidance on some of today's most significant issues in manufacturing including Smart Manufacturing, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Metrics, Asset Performance, Recipe Transformation, Key Performance Indicators, and the Future of Manufacturing," Yost explains.
"ISA is working to incorporate the most relevant and timely content available in the world of automation, and that leads us to our work with MESA," says ISA Executive Director and CEO Patrick Gouhin. "Our attendees value knowledge transfer and the ability to network with others in their field. MESA's technical programming is focused on the intersection of manufacturing and IT. This programming will be a huge attraction for our audience."
"ISA and MESA have a long-standing relationship that dates back to the early days of ISA95, with many experts serving in leadership positions for both organizations," explains Gouhin. "MESA's integration into PCS allows us to bring a more comprehensive technical program to our attendees, and sets the stage for ongoing collaboration between our organizations on many initiatives. This is a stepping stone toward a stronger future for the automation industry and the professionals that we serve."
The International Society of Automation develops widely used global standards; certifies industry professionals; provides education and training; publishes books and technical articles; hosts conferences and exhibits; and provides networking and career development programs. The ISA 2015 Process Control and Safety Symposium is the premier event for manufacturers to improve their businesses through automation and controls.
