Lindeman will be serving a 3 year term that will allow him to further correlate ISA strategies with the broader engineering community.
November 19, 2015 - The American Association of Engineering Societies (AAES) Board of Directors elected Alyse Stofer to assume the position of chair beginning January 1, 2016 and continuing through December 31, 2017. Stofer, who served as the 2013 Society of Women Engineers’ (SWE) President, is an Engineering Program Manager at Medtronic leading product development projects in the Neuromodulation business sector from concept to global commercialization. Stofer will take over the role of chair when James Melsa steps down to assume the role of past chair. Melsa is a past president of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and Dean Emeritus of the College of Engineering at Iowa State University.
The AAES General Assembly also elected Elizabeth Bierman, Kenneth Galloway and Robert Lindeman to the AAES Board of Directors for terms also beginning January 1, 2016. Bierman, nominated by SWE, is a Senior Project Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace; Galloway, nominated by ASEE, is a Distinguished Professor of Engineering at Vanderbilt University; and Lindeman, nominated by the International Society of Automation (ISA), is a System Engineer at Aerospace Testing Alliance. Lindeman will be serving a 3 year term that will allow him to further correlate ISA strategies with the broader engineering community.
