The simulator will be installed at the Training Center of Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), in Saudi Arabia.
November 25, 2015 - HyperionRSI Simulation will supply an Operator Training Simulator (OTS) System for the Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) Project, at the Training Center of Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), in Saudi Arabia.
HyperionRSI’s responsibilities on the project will include:
- Development of the dynamic process models for the Combined Cycle Power Plant, using IndissPlus dynamic simulation software
- Emulation of operator station
- Emulation of the DCS controls
- Emulation of the Safety System
- Integration of the process models with the emulated DCS and emulated Safety System
- Development of the Instructor Station
- Hardware and software procurement
- Installation and commissioning at SWCC Training Center
- Provision of appropriate training and documentation
Beshr J. AlNahdi, General Manager of SWCC Training Center stated, “The Combined Cycle Power Plant OTS for our training center is an important project to cater the training needs of new Ras Al Khair Desalination Plant which includes a 2,650 MW combined cycle power plant. The CCPP training will be included in our training curriculum from 2016. We wish to enrich our theoretical training with a simulator for the process and also allow for hands-on training using the simulator.
