Schneider Electric helps Showa Shell Sekiyu enhance supply chain management

September 21, 2017 – Schneider Electric announced that Showa Shell Sekiyu has signed a global agreement with Schneider Electric to implement SimSci Spiral Suite, the company’s Unified Supply Chain Management solution. Scope of the deployment includes asset management, planning, scheduling, network supply and distribution optimization, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) modules.  Oil and Gas companies face significant challenges to improve operational agility and gain access to “siloed” information trapped in stand-alone, legacy applications. Showa Shell Sekiyu identified a need to update its legacy tools with a modern enterprise supply chain platform. The scheduling cold calculation has been dramatically reduced to 5-10 minutes, and another 1-2 minutes for each revision.
