January 25, 2019 - The Finnish company Tosibox Oy provided a remote access solution that enables remote site support and active monitoring of Gröninger Cleaning Systems‘ globally installed systems. Gröninger Cleaning Systems supplies their systems globally to, among others, Vietnam, Germany, Austria, Belgium and Israel. Security, operational reliability and setup of the remote access system were very important criteria when choosing TOSIBOX.
Gröninger Cleaning Systems equipped its machinery in remote locations with TOSIBOX Locks, enabling remote control and maintenance. Behind each TOSIBOX Lock there are about 30 to 40 devices such as drives, PLCs, HMIs and control cabinets that are connected and directly accessible via a TOSIBOX Key. In case Gröninger’s customer wants access to process data like tank levels, they can be shared remote access via an additional sub key. This way access management remains secure.
TOSIBOX has provided Gröninger Cleaning Systems with a connectivity solution with a “self-healing” network. Dropped connections are automatically reconnected thanks to the TosiOnline feature.
“Security, operational reliability and ease of use were important to us. TOSIBOX solution perfectly answers all our needs,” says Geert-Jan van den Eijnden, Project Engineer ICT at Gröninger Cleaning Systems.
As the network grows, Gröninger Cleaning Systems is considering introducing TOSIBOX Virtual Central Lock to the ecosystem. The Virtual Central Lock turns the TOSIBOX ecosystem into a controlled IoT network of always-on VPN connections for remote maintenance, continuous monitoring, real-time data collection and data logging. Moreover, the Virtual Central Lock enables centralized access management with access groups.
TOSIBOX products are considered in industrial automation and machinery engineering. Industrial IoT (IIoT) networks are typically set up by industrial equipment suppliers to remotely monitor devices they are responsible for. Increasingly, also the users of the appliances – i.e. industrial manufacturers – set up and manage IIoT networks.Learn More
