Communication for off-highway commercial vehicles

Owasys offers a vehicle communications platform leveraged worldwide to enable commercial and industrial vehicle tracking. Their owa4X & owa5X platforms are powerful Linux IoT Edge Computing Gateways, with global LTE Cat 4, able to process data coming from wired and wireless sensors, devices, and peripherals.
Designed to be robust for moving applications, the owa4X & owa5X gateways are mounted in the vehicle to send valuable information to cloud services or custom control centers for monitoring and controlling purposes.
The solution can be used for many types of telematics applications like fleet management, electric vehicles monitoring, track & trace, logistics, predictive maintenance, car sharing, car vehicle location (AVL), positioning and data acquisition of moving objects.

Thanks to the robust design with IP67/IP6K9K rating, the owa4x and owa5X IoT gateways are particularly suitable for use in construction, forestry, mining and agricultural machinery, dangerous goods, conveying and industrial equipment, compressors and other harsh environments.
 

Connecting to Azure, AWS and more

HMS offers engineering services in connection to the Owasys products – for connectivity to Azure or AWS (Amazon Web Services) as well as other 3rd party software applications, including Software AG’s Cumulocity IoT platform. In addition to the core gateway platform, HMS Networks Engineering Service team can offer the software engineering required to build an end-to-end data telemetry solution.

The combined solution enables rigid edge computing in demanding environments associated with the construction and automotive industries. Additionally, the comprehensive set of communication interfaces provided in the gateways ensure that data can be acquired from all types of sub systems.
