KUKA Showcases Bag Palletizing Automation at PACK EXPO 2023

Sept. 13, 2023 - KUKA featured its highly flexible KR IONTEC medium payload robot in a bag palletizing cell designed by system partner Elevation Packaging and Equipment at PACK EXPO 2023. Bag palletizing/depalletizing robotic automaton boosts productivity and enhances safety in a variety of bagging and packaging operations.
 
Whether on the floor, on the wall or inclined, the KR IONTEC combines compact design with the largest working envelope in its class for optimal use of space. Equipped with a waterproof and dustproof in-line wrist and protected motors, the robot is suitable for almost every area of application in the 20- to 70-kilogram payload range. Versatility is further enhanced due to the fact that the KR IONTEC’s payload capacity can be adjusted after it is installed to meet changing conditions. Digital Motion Modes allow the robot to be adapted to various processes depending on the need for higher precision or speed.

In addition to palletizing/depalletizing, the versatile KR IONTEC is also very well suited to assembly operations; surface applications such as painting and gluing; spot and arc welding; additive manufacturing and 3D printing; and industrial/foundry uses.
