AMETEK Drexelbrook, a world leader in level measurement technology, has expanded its guided wave radar, level measurement offering with the introduction of an enlarged coaxial sensor for The Impulse GWR. The new 1.66” (42mm) diameter probe provides reliable accuracy within high viscosity liquids. The new enlarged coaxial sensor option for The Impulse GWR allows material to easily flow off of the probe when used with viscous fluids.
Guided wave radar level measurement such as The Impulse from Drexelbrook has a proven track record of successfully delivering safe, continuous level measurement in oil tank facilities, hydrocarbon level measurement, petrochemical level measurement, and waste oil. These types of applications contain sticky and viscous materials that are known to cause faulty level measurement and lead to increased service costs or, in worst-case scenarios, serious accidents.
The Impulse provides loop-powered continuous level measurement with 4-20 mA, HART, or ModBus output. It holds worldwide hazardous area approvals from FM/FMc, and ATEX. Drexelbrook offers the 1.66” (42mm) Diameter Coaxial probe in lengths up to 10 ft.
