Flowserve introduced RedRaven, a revolutionary IoT services platform for the next generation of asset health monitoring, at the virtual event Flowserve Media Kickoff on Jan 26, 2021.

Flowserve’s RedRaven provides both condition monitoring and predictive analysis for flow control equipment connected to industrial assets. According to a video played during the event, it uses state of the art industrial Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to "be your eyes and ears, monitoring your core infrastructure and predicting critical equipment issues before they happen. It enables you to act immediately, avoiding costly downtime."
RedRaven works with any flow control equipment, no matter who manufactured it.
“We bring more than 200 years of experience in pump/valve design to really understand the analytics of the data,” said Sanjay Chowbey, president of aftermarket services & solutions. “We help customers to identify the problem before it happens and address it.”
In one use case, the customer’s facility was facing intermittent issues with 60-year-old cooling water pumps, and failure could cost millions in furnace damages. To combat this problem, Flowserve installed a predictive analytics system that could almost immediately detect low flow conditions. The customer validated the results with a 3rd party inspection.
“We’re betting big on IoT to help companies avoid costly downtime," said Scott Rowe, Flowserve president and chief executive officer.
RedRaven is available with either wired or wireless sensors, depending on the customer’s needs. Sensors installed on industrial equipment collect data from assets then send it securely to the cloud. Companies can use Flowserve’s secure Insight Portal dashboard to view and analyze their data. They also have access to Flowserve’s remote monitoring facility, staffed by technical specialists who will provide support through the entire IoT journey, said Chowbey.
