To help its IIoT customers achieve success, Moxa offers its AIG Series gateways that enable OT device data to be safely transmitted to cloud services, such as Azure. Moxa AIG Series gateways achieve complete integration while eliminating the need to use a Process Control Network (PCN) or firewall to safeguard network availability, plus they do not require time-consuming Management of Choice (MOC) procedures. Moxa AIG Series gateways leverage edge data computing, meaning only essential data is uploaded to the cloud, significantly reducing data transmission cost. The gateways also can process and filter field data in real time to send to the local HMI or to the cloud, while allowing data analysis workloads to be off-loaded from the cloud to the edge.
Moxa AIG series IIoT gateways
Moxa AIG-500 gateways with LTE cellular are powered by the Intel Atom Quad-Core 1.91 GHz processor, plus offer one VGA port, four DI/DOs, four serial ports, and four Ethernet ports, along with an extended temperature range of -40° to 70° C. Protected in a rugged metal housing, these x86 IIoT gateways are a reliable edge computing solution for oil and gas, heavy industry, and transportation applications. Moxa ThingsPro Edge and Azure IoT Edge software are preloaded to achieve easier, more reliable, yet highly secure sensor-to-cloud connectivity for data acquisition and device management using Azure Cloud. Thanks to the robust OTA function, integrators never have to worry about system failure during software upgrades. And with secure boot function enabled, the AIG-500 can be rebooted without making it vulnerable to malicious software injection.
Similar in design to the AIG-500, Moxa AIG-300 gateways feature the Arm Cortex-A7 Dual-Core 1 GHz processor. These compact gateways are specifically designed for space-critical automation applications, especially in distributed and unmanned sites.
